Sophomores and younger

  • Course planning: Students should choose coursework that will prepare them to succeed in college. A strong college preparatory curriculum will give students the tools they need to succeed at the U of M. See our core subject requirements.

Juniors

  • Campus visits: Schedule a campus visit online or call 612-625-0000 or 1-800-752-1000. Meet us in person and see our breathtaking campus--just minutes away from the Minneapolis and St. Paul city centers--with your own eyes. There's no better way for students to get a taste of campus life.
  • Take the ACT or SAT: Students should take the ACT or SAT in the spring of their junior year to ensure that scores are available for the freshman admission application. Please note: the University of Minnesota Twin Cities will not require an ACT or SAT score for the 2022 application.

Seniors

  • Apply for admissions: With no ACT/SAT score,* essay, letters of recommendation or transcript, applying to the University of Minnesota Twin Cities is easy!  

Freshman Application Decision Deadlines

Scholarship recipients and students admitted to the University Honors Program will be notified by March 31.

*The University of Minnesota Twin Cities will not require an ACT or SAT score for the 2022 application.
