When you confirm your enrollment, you are declaring your intent to attend the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, and we will reserve a place for you in the incoming class. To see your confirmation deadline, visit Application Tracker.

Confirmation fees are $325 for freshmen and $150 for transfer students.

Freshman students:

We are still accepting confirmation on a space-available basis after our May 15 deadline, unless noted. Confirm your enrollment as soon as possible. (If you received a confirmation deadline extension, we will hold your spot until your approved date, including in colleges that are otherwise full.)

Transfer students:

Original Deadlines

In response to delays from the Department of Education with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the University of Minnesota Twin Cities extended the confirmation deadlines to ensure students and families have enough time to assess their financial aid offers and collegiate options for Fall 2024.

Enrollment Confirmation Deadline: May 15
Housing Application Deadline: May 15
The May 15 deadline has passed, but housing applications are still being accepted on a space-available basis.
Financial Aid Application Priority Deadline: March 15
The priority deadline has passed, but we are still accepting FAFSAs and encourage you to submit your FAFSA as soon as possible.

NEED AN EXTENSION? Admitted students who are going through the financial aid verification process, waiting for other financial aid information, or have an emergency circumstance may request to extend their confirmation deadline. Please complete the confirmation deadline extension request form . Approval is not guaranteed.
