International Freshman Missing Information

Included below is a reference guide to assist you with questions you may have regarding any of the particular items that you are missing for your University of Minnesota Twin Cities application.

We are not able to evaluate your application until we receive all of the missing item(s) requested. If we are missing part(s) of your application, it will be noted on Application Tracker. Please be sure to submit your missing item(s) by the appropriate freshman application deadline(s).

If you have already submitted the requested information, thank you! Please allow 5-7 days from the date your materials arrive on campus for your documents to be processed and your Application Tracker to be updated.

Self-Reported Academic Record (SRAR)

In your Application Tracker, click on the “Self-Reported Academic Record (SRAR)” link. Enter all of your 9th-12th year courses with grades, exactly as they appear on your academic reports or transcripts issued by school.

In addition, report external examination results, such as, but not limited to: IB, IGCSE, O/AS/A-level, HKDSE, SPM, and CISCE/CBSE.

FAQ for completing the Self-Reported Academic Record

Self-Reported English Proficiency Score

In your Application Tracker, click on the "Self-Reported Academic Record (SRAR)” form and enter your English proficiency test scores with the test dates. For more information, visit English Proficiency Information.

Self-Reported ACT or SAT Score

In your Application Tracker, click on the “Self-Reported Academic Record (SRAR)” form and report your ACT or SAT score.

You can also have your official test scores sent directly from the testing agency.

Updated Academic Record

If Application Tracker indicates that “Updated Academic Record” is missing, please login and click on “Self-Reported Academic Record (SRAR)” and report all of your 9th-12th year courses with grades, exactly as they appear on your academic reports or transcripts issued by school.

In addition, report external examination results, such as, but not limited to: IB, IGCSE, O/AS/A-level, HKDSE, SPM, and CISCE/CBSE.

Updated English Proficiency Score

If you are a MELP student, we need to receive your End of Semester Assessment (ETA) results from MELP. Visit English Proficiency Information for more information.

Unofficial Secondary School Transcript

Log into Application Tracker and upload a clear and legible copy of your official academic transcripts including 9th-12th courses and grades.

Unofficial Test Score Report

Log into Application Tracker and upload a clear and legible copy of your official English proficiency test, SAT, and/or ACT score report.

List of Current Coursework

In your Application Tracker, click on the “Self-Reported Academic Record (SRAR)” link. Enter your 12th or senior year courses as "in progress."

South Korea: Students completing a South Korean curriculum should upload a list of 12th year courses in a Word or PDF file format along with a copy of their high school transcript.

Work, School, or Activities Since High School

In your Application Tracker, click on the "Work, School, or Activities Since High School," where you will be directed to an online form. Please provide a list of work, school, or other activities since graduating from high school, with dates included.

Examples may include, but are not limited to, work experience, family responsibilities, exchange programs. This information is required to assist in the overall assessment of your application materials, and to ensure that any coursework since high school graduation is reflected in your application file.

Supplemental Application

Applicants to the programs listed below are required to complete a supplemental application in addition to your completed admission application. Please complete the appropriate application for deadline information and instructions for submission.

First Semester Grades (Freshman)

In your Application Tracker, click on the “Self-Reported Academic Record (SRAR)” link and add your first semester courses and grades for your 12th year.

Narrative Transcript

Log into Application Tracker and upload a clear and legible copy of your official transcripts including your 9th - 12th courses and grades.

GED

Students who have earned or will earn a GED should upload their scores via their Application Tracker. Click the "GED Scores" to access the upload site.

Background Questionnaire

If "background questionnaire" is noted on Application Tracker as missing, please return the questionnaire that was sent to you in the mail. This questionnaire is being sent to you as a result of your 'Yes' response to the question below on the application for admission:

As an adult or juvenile, I have been found legally responsible for a sexual offense or I have sexual offense charges pending against me at this time.

The University of Minnesota is committed to maintaining a scholarly, educational environment characterized by safety, respect, and integrity. As part of this commitment, the University requires undergraduate applicants to supply information about their conduct.

Applicants reporting academic dishonesty, sexual offense convictions, or pending sexual offense charges are never automatically barred from admission to the University. Before the information below is considered, we will complete a holistic, overall assessment of the application, and if it is determined that the applicant is academically admissible, only then will the responses be considered as factors in our review.

Expulsion/Suspension/Probation Questionnaire

If "Explanation of response to required expulsion/suspension/probation/eligibility to return question on application" is noted on Application Tracker as missing, please return the questionnaire that was sent to you in the mail. This questionnaire is being sent to you as a result of your 'Yes' response to the question below on the application for admission:

I have been expelled from, suspended from, or placed on probation at any high school or college for academic dishonesty or for sexual misconduct.
