Driving Directions

For parking near Bruininks Hall, we suggest parking at East River Road Garage (385 East River Parkway, Minneapolis, MN 55455).

From I-35W

From the south:

Approaching downtown Minneapolis, proceed in the right lanes. Follow the I-94 east split from downtown Minneapolis, but do not exit onto I-94. Continue on 35W North to exit #18 for University Avenue S.E./4th Street S.E. Turn right onto University Avenue S.E. and proceed to 15th Street SE/Pleasant Street, and turn right. Follow Pleasant Street until you reach Arlington Street. Take a right on Arlington Street, and drive one block to the East River Road. Turn left on East River Parkway. Proceed on East River Parkway for approximately half a mile. The East River Road Garage will be on your left.

From the north:

Follow 35W south and take exit #18 for University Avenue S.E./4th Street S.E. Turn left at the second set of lights on University Avenue S.E., heading east. Proceed to 15th Street SE/Pleasant Street, and turn right. Follow Pleasant Street until you reach Arlington Street. Take a right on Arlington Street, and drive one block to the East River Road. Turn left on East River Parkway. Proceed on East River Parkway for approximately half a mile. The East River Road Garage will be on your left.

From I-94

From the east:

Follow I-94 west and take the Huron Boulevard exit (#235B). Turn left on Fulton Street S.E. Follow Fulton Street S.E. for approximately five blocks. Fulton Street S.E. will veer and merge with East River Parkway. Follow East River Parkway for three blocks. The entrance to the East River Road Garage will be on your right.

From the west:

Follow I-94 east and take the Huron Boulevard exit (#235B). Turn left on Fulton Street S.E. Follow Fulton Street S.E. for approximately five blocks. Fulton Street S.E. will veer and merge with East River Parkway. Follow East River Parkway for three blocks. The entrance to the East River Road Garage will be on your right.

Walking Directions

To walk to Bruininks Hall (222 Pleasant St SE Minneapolis, MN 55455) from East River Road Garage, take the parking ramp elevator to the plaza level (level one). You will exit through a set of doors onto the Coffman Memorial Union Plaza. Cross the plaza and take a slight left onto Delaware Street S.E., proceeding up the stairs towards the Northrop Mall, which the Union faces. On the pedestrian walkway, turn left towards the Weisman Art Museum. Bruininks Hall will be directly across from the Art Museum, alongside the Mississippi River.

Transit Directions

To access Bruininks Hall while riding the Green Line in either direction, exit the train at the U of M East Bank Station. Walk west along Washington Avenue S.E. for about 4 blocks. Bruininks Hall's entrance will be on your right.

For parking near Carlson School of Management, we suggest parking at the 21st Avenue Ramp (400 21st Avenue S., Minneapolis, MN 55455).

From I-35W

From the south:

Drive north on 35W and exit at 17C for the U of M West Bank. Follow the U of M West Bank signs to turn right onto S. Washington Avenue. Take the first left on S. 15th Avenue/Washington Avenue S.E. Drive one block and then turn right onto S. 19th Avenue. Drive on S. 19th Avenue and then turn left onto S. 4th Street. Drive two blocks and then turn right on S. 21st Avenue. The 21st Avenue Ramp will be on your right.

From the north:

Drive south on 35W and exit at 17C for Washington Avenue. Follow the U of M West Bank signs to turn left onto S. Washington Avenue. Take the first left on S. 15th Avenue/Washington Avenue S.E. Drive one block and then turn right onto S. 19th Avenue. Drive on S. 19th Avenue and then turn left onto S. 4th Street toward the parking ramp. Drive two blocks and then turn right on S. 21st Avenue. The 21st Avenue Ramp will be on your right.

From I-94

From the east:

Drive west on I-94 and take the exit at 234C for Cedar Avenue. Turn right at the first stop light (Cedar Avenue). Drive until you see Riverside Avenue. Turn right onto Riverside Avenue. Drive two blocks and turn left onto S. 20th Avenue. Take an immediate right on S. 4th Street. Drive one block and then turn right on S. 21st Avenue. The 21st Avenue Ramp will be on your right.

From the west:

Drive east on I-94 and exit to 35W North. Follow the U of M West Bank exit sign (17C), and turn right onto S. Washington Avenue. Take the first left on S. 15th Avenue/Washington Avenue S.E. Drive one block and then turn right onto S. 19th Avenue. Drive on S. 19th Avenue and then turn left onto S. 4th Street toward the parking ramp. Drive two blocks and then turn right on S. 21st Avenue. Walking Directions

To walk to the Carlson School of Management (321 19th Avenue S., Minneapolis, MN 55455) from the 21st Avenue Ramp, exit the 21st Avenue Ramp and take a right. Take a left on S. 4th Street and walk a 1/2 block. Carlson School of Management will be on your right.

Transit Directions

To access the Carlson School of Management while riding the Green Line in either direction, exit the train at the U of M West Bank Station. Walk south along S. 19th Avenue until you reach S. 4th Street. Turn left on S. 4th Street, and walk approximately a 1/2 block. Carlson School of Management will be on your left.

To walk to Coffman Memorial Union (300 Washington Avenue SE, Minneapolis, MN, 55455) from East River Road Garage, take the parking ramp elevator to the plaza level (level one). You will exit through a set of doors onto the Coffman Memorial Union Plaza. Cross the plaza and Delaware Street S.E., proceeding up the stairs to enter the ground floor of Coffman Memorial Union.

To access Coffman Memorial Union while riding the Green Line in either direction, exit the train at the U of M East Bank Station. Walk west along Washington Avenue S.E. for about 4 blocks. Coffman Memorial Union's entrance will be on your left.

To walk to Hanson Hall (1925 4th Street S., Minneapolis, MN 55455) from the 21st Avenue Ramp, exit the 21st Avenue Ramp and turn left on 4th Street. Hanson Hall will be ahead one block on your left.

Transit Directions

To access the Carlson School of Management while riding the Green Line in either direction, exit the train at the U of M West Bank Station. Walk south along S. 19th Avenue until you reach S. 4th Street. Turn left on S. 4th Street, and walk approximately a 1 block. Hanson Hall will be on your right.

Driving Directions

For parking near Huntington Bank Stadium, we suggest parking at the Gopher Lot (310 23rd Avenue SE, Minneapolis, MN, 55455).

From I-35W

From the south:

Drive north on 35W to the University Avenue S.E. exit (#18). Turn right (east) onto University Avenue S.E. and proceed until you reach 23rd Avenue S.E./Huron Blvd. Turn left on 23rd Avenue S.E. The Gopher Lot will be the first parking lot on your left.

From the north:

Drive south on 35W to the University Avenue SE exit (#18). At the second traffic signal, turn left (east) onto University Avenue SE and proceed until you reach 23rd Avenue SE/Hurn Blvd. Turn left on 23rd Avenue SE. The Gopher Lot will be the first parking lot on your left.

From I-94

From the east:

Drive west on I-94 and take exit #235B, the University of Minnesota/Huron Boulevard exit. Follow Huron Blvd. for three blocks to University Avenue SE. Cross University Avenue SE to enter onto 23rd Avenue SE. The Gopher Lot will be the first parking lot on your left.

From the west:

Drive east on I-94 and take exit #235B, the University of Minnesota/Huron Boulevard exit. Follow Huron Blvd. for three blocks to University Avenue SE. Cross University Avenue SE to enter onto 23rd Avenue SE. The Gopher Lot will be the first parking lot on your left.

Is the parking lot full?

Try the Maroon Lot (2010 6th Street SE, Minneapolis, MN 55455) or the University Avenue Parking Ramp (1926 University Avenue SE, Minneapolis, MN 55455)!

Walking Directions

To walk to Huntington Bank Stadium (2009 University Avenue SE, Minneapolis, MN, 55455) from the Gopher Lot, walk north across the parking lot towards the Benton County entrance, located near Goldy's Locker Room. Enter the Huntington Bank Stadium through the Benton County entrance.

Transit Directions

To access the Huntington Bank Stadium while riding the Green Line in either direction, exit the train at the Stadium Village Station. When you exit the train, Huntington Bank Stadium will be next to the Stadium Village Station. Walk north across the parking lot towards the Benton County entrance, located near Goldy's Locker Room. Enter the Huntington Bank Stadium through the Benton County entrance.

From I-35W

From the south:

Drive north on 35W to the University Avenue S.E. exit (#18). Turn right (east) onto University Avenue S.E. and proceed to 17th Avenue S.E. Turn left (north) onto 17th Avenue S.E. The 4th Street Ramp will be on your left, just past Fourth Street S.E.

From the north:

Drive south on 35W to the University Avenue S.E. exit (#18). At the second traffic signal, turn left (east) onto University Avenue S.E. and proceed approximately 8 blocks until you reach 17th Avenue S.E/Church Street S.E. Turn left (north) onto S.E. 17th Avenue, drive approximately 2 blocks. The 4th Street Ramp will be on your left.

From I-94

From the east:

Drive west on I-94 to the Huron Blvd. exit (#235B). Follow Huron Blvd. for three blocks. Proceed to the West University Avenue S.E. lane. Turn left onto University Avenue S.E. Turn right on Oak Street S.E. Continue straight through the stoplight to enter onto 4th Street S.E. Continue straight on 4th Street S.E., passing Mariucci and Ridder Arenas. Turn right onto 17th Avenue S.E. Drive approximately 1 block. The 4th Street Ramp will be on your left.

From the west:

Walking Directions

To walk to Jones Hall (27 Pleasant Street SE, Minneapolis, MN 55455) from the 4th Street Ramp, walk southwest on S.E. 17th Avenue toward S.E 4th Street. Take a right onto University Avenue S.E, walk approximately two blocks. Turn left onto Pleasant Street S.E. Jones Hall will be on your left. Enter the building and proceed to the Freshman Admissions Welcome Center, located on the top floor (room 200). Stairs are near the west entrance (directly in front of the building) and the elevator is near the east entrance (the back entrance of the building).

To access Jones Hall while riding the Green Line in either direction, exit the train at the U of M East Bank Station. Walk one block west along Washington Avenue and turn right on Church Street S.E. Continue walking north on Church Street S.E. until you reach Pillsbury Drive S.E. Turn left onto Pillsbury Drive S.E. and walk past the Nolte Center and the plaza entrance to Williamson Hall until you reach Jones Hall (will be on your right). Jones Hall is on the corner of Pillsbury Drive S.E. and Pleasant Street S.E. Enter the building using the east entrance (the back side of the building) and take the stairs or the elevator to the Freshman Admissions Welcome Center, located on the top floor (Room 200).

From I-35W

From the south:

Drive north on 35W to the University Avenue SE exit (#18). Turn right (east) on University Ave. SE Proceed approximately nine blocks on University Ave. SE until you reach the University Avenue Parking Ramp. The ramp entrance will be on your right (just past 18th Avenue SE).

From the north:

Drive south on 35W to the University Avenue SE exit (#18). Cross over 4th Street SE and turn left on University Ave. SE. Proceed approximately nine blocks on University Ave. SE until you reach the University Avenue Parking Ramp. The ramp entrance will be on your right (just past 18th Avenue SE).

From I-94

From the east:

Drive west on I-94 to the Huron Blvd. exit (#235B). Follow Huron Blvd. for three blocks. Proceed to the West University Avenue SE lane. Turn left onto University Avenue SE The road will then curve to the right at Oak Street and merge with 4th St. Proceed into the left lane, and turn left on 18th Ave. SE. Drive one block to University Ave. SE and turn left on University Ave. SE (one-way). Immediately get into the far right lane. The University Avenue Parking Ramp will be just ahead on your right.

From the west:

Drive east on I-94 to the Huron Blvd. exit (#235B). Follow Huron Blvd. for three blocks. Proceed to the West University Avenue SE lane. Turn left onto University Avenue SE The road will then curve to the right at Oak Street and merge with 4th St. Proceed into the left lane, and turn left on 18th Ave. SE Drive one block to University Ave. SE and turn left on University Ave. SE (one-way). To access McNamara Alumni Center while riding the Green Line in either direction, exit the train at the Stadium Village Station. Turn right onto University Avenue SE; walk approximately 1 block. Turn left onto SE Oak Street. McNamara Alumni Center will be on your right about 1/2 block down. Take the University Avenue Ramp east elevator to the tunnel or street level. Follow signs to McNamara Alumni Center.

FROM THE SOUTH:

Approaching downtown Minneapolis, proceed in the right lanes. Follow the I-94 east split from downtown Minneapolis, but do not exit onto I-94. Continue on 35W North to exit #18 for University Avenue S.E./4th Street S.E. Turn right onto University Avenue S.E. and proceed to Church Street S.E., and turn right. At the stop sign, turn left onto Pillsbury Dr S.E., follow the road until you reach the stoplight, then turn left onto S.E. Beacon Street and the entrance to the Washington Avenue Parking Ramp will be on your left.

FROM THE NORTH:

Follow 35W south and take exit #18 for University Avenue S.E./4th Street S.E. Turn left at the second set of lights on University Avenue S.E., heading east. Proceed to Church Street S.E., and turn right. At the stop sign, turn left onto Pillsbury Drive S.E., follow the road until you reach the stoplight, then turn left onto S.E. From I-94

FROM THE EAST:

Follow I-94 west and take the Huron Boulevard exit (#235B). Turn left onto Washington Avenue. Follow Washington Avenue for approximately three blocks. Turn right onto Walnut Street then left onto S.E. Beacon Street Follow the road and the entrance to the Washington Avenue Parking Ramp will be on your left.

FROM THE WEST:

Follow I-94 east and take the Huron Boulevard exit (#235B). Turn left onto Washington Avenue. Follow Washington Avenue for approximately three blocks. Turn right onto Walnut Street then left onto S.E. Beacon Street Follow the road and the entrance to the Washington Avenue Parking Ramp will be on your left.
 

Transit Directions

To access Moos Tower or Weaver-Densford Hall while riding the Green Line in either direction, exit the train at the U of M East Bank Station. Both Moos Tower and Weaver-Densford Halls are located immediately south of the East Bank Station.
 

Walking Directions

To walk to Moos Tower or Weaver-Densford Hall (515 Delaware Street SE) from the Washington Avenue Ramp, proceed to Washington avenue, then cross the street. To enter the buildings, down the outdoor staircase and enter the building. Once in the complex, Moos Tower will be ahead of you, while Weaver-Densford Hall will be to your left.

To walk to Northrop Auditorium (84 Church Street SE, Minneapolis, MN, 55455) from East River Road Garage, take the parking ramp elevator to the Plaza Level (Level One). You will exit through a set of doors onto the Coffman Memorial Union Plaza. Cross the plaza and Delaware Street, proceeding up the stairs to enter the ground floor of Coffman Memorial Union. Take the escalators or elevator to Level One, and exit the front doors of Coffman Memorial Union. You will see the Northrop Mall area ahead. Cross one of the silver walking bridges and walk across the mall toward the large pillared building at the front of the mall.

Transit Directions

To access Northrop while riding the Green Line in either direction, exit the train at the U of M East Bank Station. Walk west along Washington Avenue S.E. Turn right (north) on Church Street S.E. and proceed until you reach Morrill Hall (on your left). Turn left (west) after you pass Morrill Hall. You will see Northrop ahead and to the right. Enter Northrop’s front entrance by climbing the stairs ahead of you, or through the building’s accessible east side ground entrance by following the sidewalk as it curves to the right.

From I-35W

From the south:

Drive north on 35W to the University Avenue S.E. exit (#18). Turn right (east) onto University Avenue S.E. and proceed to 17th Avenue S.E. Turn left (north) onto 17th Avenue S.E. The 4th Street Ramp will be on your left, just past Fourth Street S.E.

From the north:

Turn right on Oak Street S.E. Continue straight through the stoplight to enter onto 4th Street S.E. Continue straight on 4th Street S.E., passing Mariucci and Ridder Arenas. Walking Directions

To walk to Rapson Hall (89 Church Street SE, Minneapolis, MN 55455) from the 4th Street Ramp, walk south on 17th Avenue S.E. (toward University Avenue S.E. and the Armory), until 17th Avenue S.E. becomes Church Street S.E. Rapson Hall will be just ahead on your left. Once you enter the building, staff will direct you to the check-in area.

If you are coming from the Church Street Garage, Rapson Hall is located directly across from the vehicle entrance to the garage. Take the stairs or elevator to street level and walk toward Church Street through the David M. Lilly Plaza. Cross Church Street to enter Rapson Hall.

Transit Directions

To access Rapson Hall while riding the Green Line in either direction, exit the train at the U of M East Bank Station. Walk one block west along Washington Avenue S.E. and turn right (north) on Church Street S.E. Continue walking north on Church Street S.E. Rapson Hall will be ahead to your right.

From I-35W

From the south:

Drive north on I-35W to Highway 36 (heading east). Take the Cleveland Avenue exit (heading south) to Buford Avenue (approximately two miles). Turn left onto Buford Avenue. Once in the St. Paul Campus, you will reach the intersection of Buford Avenue and Gortner Avenue (four-way stop). Turn right onto Gortner Avenue. After you turn the corner, the Gortner Avenue Ramp will be immediately on your right side.

From the north:

Drive south on I-35W to the Highway 36/Cleveland Avenue Exit (the exit is on your left). Take southbound Cleveland Avenue to Buford Avenue. Turn left onto Buford Avenue. Once in the St. Paul Campus, you will reach the intersection of Buford Avenue and Gortner Avenue (four-way stop). Turn right onto Gortner. After you turn the corner, the Gortner Avenue Parking Ramp will be immediately on your right side.

From I-94

From the east:

Take I-94 west to the Highway 280 exit (the exit is on your right and goes north). Take Highway 280 north to the Larpenteur Avenue exit. Turn right onto Larpenteur Avenue and follow it until you reach Gortner Avenue. Turn right onto Gortner Avenue. You will be driving toward the St. Paul Campus. Once in the St. Paul Campus, you will reach the intersection of Buford Avenue and Gortner Avenue (four-way stop). Continue straight ahead on Gortner, and the Gortner Avenue Parking Ramp will be on your right side.

From the west:

To walk to the St. Paul Student Center (2017 Buford Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55108) from the Gortner Avenue Ramp, first go to the entrance of the Gortner Avenue Parking Ramp (where you drove in). Turn left and walk toward the Buford Avenue and Gortner Avenue intersection (four-way stop). Turn left onto Buford Avenue and walk two blocks west. The St. Paul Student Center is located on the right side of Buford Avenue.

From I-35W

From the south:

Drive north on 35W and exit at 17C for the U of M West Bank. Follow the U of M West Bank signs to turn right onto S. Washington Avenue. Take the first left on S. 15th Avenue/Washington Avenue S.E. Drive one block and then turn right onto S. 19th Avenue. Drive on S. 19th Avenue and then turn left onto S. 4th Street. Drive two blocks and then turn right on S. 21st Avenue. The 21st Avenue Ramp will be on your right.

From the north:

Drive south on 35W and exit at 17C for Washington Avenue. Follow the U of M West Bank signs to turn left onto S. Washington Avenue. Take the first left on S. 15th Avenue/Washington Avenue S.E. Drive west on I-94 and take the exit at 234C for Cedar Avenue. Turn right at the first stop light (Cedar Avenue). Drive until you see Riverside Avenue. Turn right onto Riverside Avenue. Drive two blocks and turn left onto S. 20th Avenue. Take an immediate right on S. 4th Street. Drive one block and then turn right on S. 21st Avenue. The 21st Avenue Ramp will be on your right.

From the west:

Drive east on I-94 and exit to 35W North. Follow the U of M West Bank exit sign (17C), and turn right onto S. Washington Avenue. Take the first left on S. 15th Avenue/Washington Avenue S.E. From the south:

Drive north on 35W to the University Avenue S.E. exit (#18). Turn right (east) onto University Avenue S.E. and proceed to 17th Avenue S.E. Turn left (north) onto 17th Avenue S.E. The 4th Street Ramp will be on your left, just past Fourth Street S.E.

From the north:

Drive south on 35W to the University Avenue S.E. exit (#18). At the second traffic signal, turn left (east) onto University Avenue S.E. and proceed approximately 8 blocks until you reach 17th Avenue S.E/Church Street S.E. Turn left (north) onto S.E. 17th Avenue, drive approximately 2 blocks. The 4th Street Ramp will be on your left.

From I-94

From the east:

Drive west on I-94 to the Huron Blvd. exit (#235B). Follow Huron Blvd. for three blocks. Proceed to the West University Avenue S.E. lane. Turn left onto University Avenue S.E. Turn right on Oak Street S.E. Continue straight through the stoplight to enter onto 4th Street S.E. Continue straight on 4th Street S.E., passing Mariucci and Ridder Arenas. Turn right onto 17th Avenue S.E. Drive approximately 1 block. The 4th Street Ramp will be on your left.

From the west:

To walk to Williamson Hall (231 Pillsbury Drive SE Minneapolis, MN 55455) from the 4th Street Ramp, walk southwest on S.E. 17th Avenue toward S.E 4th Street. Take a right onto University Avenue S.E, walk approximately two blocks. Turn left onto Pleasant Street S.E. Williamson Hall will be on your left. Follow the sloping ramp to Williamson Hall (between Folwell Hall and Jones Hall) and proceed through the doors to the Admissions Welcome Center in 240 Williamson Hall.

To access Jones Hall while riding the Green Line in either direction, exit the train at the U of M East Bank Station. Walk one block west along Washington Avenue and turn right on Church Street S.E. Continue walking north on Church Street S.E. toward Pillsbury Drive S.E. Take a left onto Pillsbury Drive S.E and walk approximately one block. Turn right at the crosswalk; the door to Williamson Hall will be on your right.
