The College of Continuing Education (CCE) offers courses and programs for a wide range of student populations. While not a freshman-admitting college, CCE offers individualized and applied bachelor's degrees to upper-division students in the following areas:

CCE programs can be completed through a combination of day, evening, online, and blended courses.

Degree options: Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Science (B.S.), Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.)

Prerequisite coursework:

Inter-College Program (ICP)

Strongly preferred:

  • Completed at least 50 transferable semester credits
  • 2.5 cumulative GPA
  • Attended an ICP information session
  • Completed designated prerequisites and GPA requirements for specific areas of concentration
  • Completed initial appointment with an ICP adviser

Multidisciplinary Studies (MdS)

Strongly preferred:

  • Completed at least 50 transferable semester credits
  • 2.5 cumulative GPA
  • Attended an MdS information session
  • Completed initial appointment with an MdS adviser
  • Gap of two years (does not need to be consecutive) or more in postsecondary education (for MdS only)

Typically, all ICP and MdS students begin the admission process by attending a group information session. Students who are unable to attend a group information session are encouraged to schedule a one-on-one session with an adviser. Bachelor of Applied Science Degrees (B.A.Sc.)

The Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree is designed for career-minded students and includes majors in Construction and Facility Management, Health Services Management, Information Technology Infrastructure, and Manufacturing Operations Management.

Strongly preferred:

Pre-major Admission

  • A minimum of 30 transferable semester credits. Use the major Transfer Guides to ensure that the course credits will transfer to the University of Minnesota and count towards the degree requirements.
  • 2.5 or better cumulative grade point average for Construction Management, Information Technology Infrastructure, and Manufacturing Operations Management
  • 2.8 or better cumulative grade point average for Health Services Management
  • Demonstrated interest in the field
