Thank you for your interest in the University of Minnesota! Please take a minute to review the visit options below, so that you can select the visit option that most closely fits your needs. We offer three options for international campus visits:
Who: This option is for you if you are already in the U.S. on a temporary visa and you have not attended a college or university yet.
What:
Mondays and Fridays:
8:30 - 9:00 Advising Appointment for International Students
9:00 - 9:30 General Information Session
9:45 - 11:15 Minneapolis Campus Tour
11:15 - 11:45 Optional Wrap-Up Advising Appointment
Tuesdays and Thursdays:
10:15 - 10:45 Advising Appointment for International Students
10:45 - 11:20 General Information Session
11:30 - 1:00 Minneapolis Campus Tour
1:00 - 1:30 Optional Wrap-Up Advising Appointment
When: This option is available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
Where: 240 Williamson Hall in the Transfer & International Admissions Welcome Center
How to Register: Register online. Be sure to choose a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday and select the "8:30 AM International Campus Visit."
Who: This option is for you if you are already in the U.S. on a temporary visa and have attended a university or college since graduating from secondary school/high school.
What:
1:45 - 2:15 Advising Appointment for International Students
3:10 - 4:00 Minneapolis Campus Tour
When: This option is available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
Where: 240 Williamson Hall in the Transfer & International Admissions Welcome Center
How to Register: Register online. Be sure to choose a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday and select the "International Information Session and Tour for Prospective Transfer Students."
What to Bring: Please bring a copy of your transcripts so that our international admissions staff can assist you better during your advising appointment.
Who: This option is for you if you are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (Green Card holder) and you have transcripts from a foreign high school or college.
What: Upon your request, we will arrange a 30-minute appointment with a staff member who can discuss how your credits may transfer to the University of Minnesota.
When: Appointments are available on Mondays and Fridays at 10:00, 10:30, 11:00, or 11:30. Appointments are also available on Wednesdays at 1:00, 1:30, 2:00, or 2:30.

How to Register: If you need to have international credentials evaluated, please contact Maggie Gardner by email at m-gard@umn.edu to request an appointment. (Please put "Transcript Evaluation" in the subject line of your email.)
