Why he chose the University of Minnesota Twin Cities: "I visited campus during my senior year--sat in on a class, took a tour, talked with students--and it was then that I knew Minnesota was where I wanted to go to college. It was far enough away from my hometown to feel like I was going somewhere new and different but close enough that I could go home for the holidays. The campus is gorgeous, the people are friendly, and the Twin Cities are a great place for young people. There is so much to do, and so many opportunities for careers after college. Coming here was the best decision I have ever made!"
Favorite University of Minnesota class: "A May Session class I took called Issues in Hispanic Cultures. It was taught by a brilliant visiting professor from Spain. I learned so much about the country and the language."
Favorite student organization: "The Admissions Ambassadors! I joined this group during the fall of my sophomore year. Through Ambassadors, I had the opportunity to help a lot of really great prospective students and their families learn about the University and all it has to offer. I also met some of my best friends in college, had a lot of great opportunities to get involved around campus, and was able to share my love and passion for the University with others."
Favorite University of Minnesota memory: "My favorite memory is graduation. Although it was a little bittersweet, it was the culmination of all the great memories and experiences I had in college. The experience was surreal, but walking across that stage to receive my degree was one of the best feelings in the world."
