Hometown: Shakopee, MN
Major: Family Social Science
Why I chose the U of M: I chose the U of M because they had the unique Family Social Science program that I was looking for and the opportunity to get involved on and off campus in that field. Plus there is a history of Gopher pride that runs deep in my family! SKI-U-MAH!
Favorite U of M class: My favorite class was Intimate Relationships. It was the introductory course to Family Social Science and it was interesting to begin learning the structure and science behind relationships.
Favorite Student Organization: My favorite student organization is Operation Smile! It works to raise money for a worthy cause in awesome ways like the annual kickball tournament!
Favorite U of M Memory: My favorite memory is going to my final Homecoming football game. All of my family and friends celebrated together as the Gophers took the W!
Favorite Random Fact about the U of M: The U of M made the Honeycrisp apple, my favorite apple by far!
Best Place to Study on campus: The back deck of the Education Science building. It is a beautiful view of the river and the Minneapolis skyline!
The one experience that a student shouldn’t miss: Homecoming weekend! It is full of great events and the campus is bursting with maroon and gold! Plus a game in the student section during an intense Gopher game can’t be beat.
