Why he chose the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities: I chose the University of Minnesota because of the fantastic engineering school and programs offered, as well as the location of the institution. As a Minnesota resident my whole life, I had been to the University of Minnesota plenty of times, and there is nothing like the fall here, where the leaves change color to maroon and gold!
Favorite University of Minnesota Class: My favorite class was the Mechanics of Flight my sophomore year of school. In this class we got to design the performance characteristics of aircraft by modifying different things. It really spurred my interest in Aerospace Engineering and got me into designing my own aircraft.
Favorite U of M Memory: My favorite U of M memory is playing in the spring jam band competition. I got to meet a lot of great people, play some awesome tunes, and rock out in front of a crowd in an 80’s track jacket! Some of the people I played with have remained some of my closest friends to date.
The One Experience Students Shouldn’t Miss: I think that no student should ever miss out on sporting events at the University of Minnesota. Part of being a student is school pride and there’s no better or fun way to show it than supporting your college teams! There’s nothing like cheering on the Golden Gophers in the student section at Football and Hockey games!
