Why she chose the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities: The University of Minnesota offered a world-class education and unlimited leadership opportunities in student-led activities. For me, the choice was easy. I wanted all of the resources of a large university at my fingertips but to also be part of a smaller community. Because the University has so many student organizations, I wasn't worried about meeting people or finding my niche.

Favorite University of Minnesota Class: Sponsorship of Sport. As an undergraduate student, I took a few graduate-level courses. My professor, Dr. Ross, tailored the course work for each student to gain hands-on experience writing a sponsor proposal for an actual Twin Cities area business. The semester I took the class, we worked with an indoor go-kart racing company. While on site, we actually got to drive the go-karts and receive feedback on our proposals from the business owners!

Favorite student organization or extracurricular activity: University of Minnesota Women's Rugby Club. The University offers so many different student organizations. In fact, I had not even heard of many of them until I came to campus. Take advantage and seek out these opportunities! I had never even seen a game of rugby until I showed up to practice freshman year. Now, I still play the sport, and it has taken me all around the world--including a dream trip to New Zealand.

Favorite U of M memory: I can't pick just one, but I would say the best part of my college experience was building lifelong friendships with students from all different walks of life.
