Hometown: Germantown, Wisconsin Major: Sociology of Law, Criminology and Deviance, Child Psychology Why he chose the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities: "I chose the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities because of the excellent recruitment that I experienced, as well as the Honors Program. My admissions counselor helped me with all of my questions, and helped me set up a tour of campus. The location of the campus was also a great point of interest for me, as it is in a major metropolitan area." Favorite University of Minnesota class: "My favorite U of M class was a topical class in sociology, the Sociology of Sport. We examined how sport influences society, not only in the U.S., but around the globe as well. My professor had written many of the books we used, and has contributed to popular journals and media outlets." Favorite student organization: "The Minnesota Student Association, or MSA, is the governing association for the student body. Being a part of this association allowed me to have a say in University issues, as well as getting to meet important members of the University community, such as Tim Brewster and President Robert Bruininks." Favorite U of M Memory: "My favorite U of M memory is the homecoming football game from my freshman year, when we defeated nationally ranked Purdue University in overtime!" |
