After Applying

Admission Decisions

Within two weeks, we will send you an acknowledgement that we have received your application.

Within eight weeks, we will notify you if your application is complete or, if it is incomplete, what items are missing (transcripts, application fee, etc.)

Within ten weeks (from date application is complete), we will send you one of the following decisions:

• Admit - Congratulations! You have been admitted after the first review of your application.
• Defer - Your application has been forwarded to your college or program of interest for approval or recommendation.
• Deny - We are not able to offer you admission. We encourage you to apply for transfer admission for a future semester.

We may also place you on a wait list or deny you for your first choice of college, but admit you for your second choice.

Orientation and Registration

Once you are admitted, your U of M college will let you know about orientation and registration.
