Getting to the U of M...Directions to Parking Ramp & Williamson Hall
Due to recent events closing a portion of I-35W and the Washington Avenue Bridge, we are providing you with alternate directions to our campus from the north and the south. Please note that while interstate 35W is closed, alternate routes will be congested. We encourage you to plan for delays.
Driving Directions
From the NORTH on 35W:
Go south on 35W and take the highway 280 Exit. Turn Right (West) on University Avenue. Continue straight onto Oak Street/4th Street SE, which will become 4th street, passing Williams, Mariucci, and Ridder Arenas. Turn right on 17th Avenue and the 4th Street Ramp will be on your immediate left.From the EAST on I-94:
Drive west on I-94 to the Huron Blvd. exit (#235B). Follow Huron Blvd. and turn left onto University Ave. Veer right onto 4th Street S.E. Continue westward on 4th St. to 17th Avenue S.E. and turn right on 17th Ave. to reach the 4th Street Parking Ramp.From the SOUTH on 35W:
Go north on 35W and take the exit for I-94 East. Drive east on I-94 to the Huron Blvd exit (#235B). Follow Huron Blvd. and turn left onto University Ave. Veer right onto 4th Street S.E. Continue westward on 4th St. to 17th Ave. to reach the entrance to the 4th Street Parking Ramp.From the WEST on I-94:
Drive east on I-94 to the Huron Blvd. exit (#235B). Follow Huron Blvd. and turn left onto University Ave. Veer right onto 4th Street S.E. The Office of Admissions has an agreement for visitors to receive a flat rate of $5.50 for the day. The flat rate is only valid for the Fourth Street Parking Ramp. You may pick up a voucher during your visit at the Transfer & International Admissions Welcome Center, in 240 Williamson Hall.

Walking Directions
From the 4th Street Ramp to the Office of Admissions: Walk west from the ramp on 4th Street S.E. to 15th Ave. S.E. Take a left and walk one block south on 15th Avenue to University Avenue S.E. (from there you should see the University of Minnesota signs). Cross University Ave. at the light and continue to walk south (on campus, 15th Ave. becomes Pleasant Street) to Williamson Hall, the underground concrete building on your left, just past Folwell Hall. Simply follow the ramp down into the building, and you will find the Office of Admissions (room 240) to your left on the main floor.For more detailed maps and building information, check the U of M's One Stop site:
